Water Treatment Supervisor
Park City Municipal is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Professional to lead the operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of our advanced drinking water treatment facilities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in modern water treatment, a commitment to public health and regulatory compliance, and a passion for mentoring high-performing teams. What You'll Do
As a Water Treatment Supervisor, you'll oversee the daily operation of up to two water treatment facilities and lead a team of certified operators responsible for producing safe, reliable drinking water.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Water Treatment Operators.
- Ensure compliance with Utah Division of Drinking Water regulations.
- Oversee treatment plant operations, maintenance, and process optimization of advanced treatment processes and systems, including microfiltration, granular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption, manganese dioxide filtration, UV disinfection, automated chemical generation systems, SCADA controls, and plant instrumentation.
- Support emergency response and participate in the rotating on-call schedule.
- Collaborate with neighboring utilities, regulatory agencies, and internal departments.
- Use your technical expertise to solve operational challenges and continuously improve plant performance.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7 years of experience or a combination of equivalent experience (e.g. operator certifications or pertinent courses) in operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment plants.
- Utah Operators certification: Grade IV Water Distribution and Treatment.
- Valid State CDL License.
- Within 60-minute travel time from home while on-call and for emergency response.
- Requires rotation in on-call schedule.
PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS:
- Supervisory experience.
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- Direct Responsible Charge Operator Certification.
