Are you a registered nurse practitioner looking to take your career to new heights? Experience the rewards of providing advanced care to premature and ill newborns in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital in beautiful Gainesville.

As a neonatal nurse practitioner, you’ll bring our nursing experience to our NICU where we have a combined 72 ICU and IMC level beds. You’ll assist the attending physician in identifying patient needs, then implementing nursing interventions to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

As a NICU NNP, you’ll make patient rounds, write orders and contribute to daily patient care decisions. Frequent bedside visits to assess patient status and direct care accordingly are critical in this role. You'll also interact with consultants to facilitate and coordinate therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures – all while maintaining UF Shands’ standard of excellence in innovative patient care and patient advocacy.

To qualify for this exciting full-time opportunity, you must have a master’s in nursing. A current and clear Florida license as and advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and BLS certification are required. Because you’ll be working with infants, you must be an NNP or PNP-AC. Preferred candidates will also have NICU experience.
