Description
Medical City Children’s Hospital seeks a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join its growing cardiac critical care team of eleven physicians and eight nurse practitioners. The
successful candidate will join a team that provides 24/7 in-house comprehensive care for critically ill neonates, infants, children, and adult congenital cardiac patients in a high-
acuity CICU environment while contributing to program development, quality improvement, education, and clinical innovation.
Qualified Candidates:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Unrestricted Texas medical license
- Board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Completion of advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, or dual training in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in cardiac critical care delivery, multidisciplinary collaboration, and program growth with interest in clinical research, outcomes research, quality improvement, and/or education
- 3+ years of post-training experience, although exceptional early-career candidates will be considered
Program Highlights:
- 250+ congenital cardiac surgical cases annually (pediatric/adult)
- Dedicated pediatric interventional catheterization (300+ cases annually), electrophysiology, advanced imaging and ECMO programs
- Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) and fetal intervention/surgery capabilities
- Growing Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program
