Second Shift (2:45 p.m. - 11:15 p.m.) and Third Shift (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) full-time and part-time positions are available.  12-hour or 14-hour positions may also be available.  All positions include every other weekend off.

Position Summary

These positions provide active treatment, promotes independence and choice, and implements the treatment programs per individual program plans in accordance with Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) regulations.

These positions provide assistance in all areas of each resident’s life such as hygiene, meals, recreational and/or vocational activities as well as support to achieve goals and independence and complies with ICF/IID regulations. The RCT-Adv.ITP provides support for individuals with mental health and behavioral disorders as well as medical conditions.

Salary Information

Starting pay is $25.90 per hour. Additional increases are based on years of service in the structure below.

  • Night differential is an additional $0.80/hour night and weekend differential is an additional $.80/hour. The differentials will be combined for a total of $1.60/hour when working a night shift on a weekend. 
  • $2,000 sign-on bonus applies to those with no prior state service in the last five years; must stay with SWC for a minimum of one year to retain the bonus.  Bonus will be split, $1000 upon hire and $1000 after completing probation. 
  • A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay schedule/range is 06/12. 

Job Details

  • All applicants will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled.
  • All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
  • The physical requirements include but are not limited to lifting up to 55 lbs, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and balancing.  Applicants are required to pass a physical evaluation to assess these requirements.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid WI CNA Certification OR experience providing direct support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities with mental health or behavioral disorders.
  • Must attend the required training full-time, Monday-Friday during the first 6 weeks of employment (only 1 week if a current WI CNA)
  • Must be willing and available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

In addition to the minimum requirements, well-qualified applicants will have:

  • Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience following individualized plans of care for patients or residents.
  • Experience working cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors, patients/residents, etc.
