Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified community health center located in Durham, NC is recruiting for a Nurse Manager. Durham is known as the Bull City, the City of Medicine, the Tastiest Town in the South, and the Startup Capital of the South. It’s a two-hour drive from the beach, a three-hour drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is North Carolina’s fourth largest city by population. Along the East Coast, Durham is located conveniently along I-85.
Job Summary The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department. This includes managing and leading a team of clinical staff including hiring, training and scheduling ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The clinical specialties overseen may include family medicine and/or adult medicine clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities Ensure quality patient care by monitoring patient outcomes and implementing best practices Quality patient care by monitoring patient outcomes and implementing best practices Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans Manage the department budget and ensure financial goals are met Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve department efficiency and effectiveness Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure departmental goals are met
Qualifications Current RN license in the state of North Carolina Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field Minimum of 3 years progressive healthcare management or 5 years of experience in a healthcare management role Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements Experience with budget management and financial analysis
