Job Description:
Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Data Coordinator - Transplant Lung & Heart to join the team. This role will be full-time, hybrid (fully onsite during orientation; hybrid after completing orientation), Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Registered Nurse (RN) Data Coordinator - Transplant Lung & Heart Job Responsibilities:
- Collect clinical and demographic data for transplant waitlist candidates, recipients, and post-transplant follow-up through chart review and collaboration with transplant clinical coordinators.
- Accurately enter data into the national transplant registry system in compliance with regulatory policies and bylaws.
- Generate and review system operation reports to verify automated processes and resolve identified issues.
- Conduct data integrity checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency; address or escalate discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in developing and maintaining transplant databases, including data collection, validation, and analysis for the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Perform basic data queries to fulfill ad hoc requests from clinical staff, medical practitioners, and transplant administration.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly administrative and program management reports for transplant teams and leadership.
- Collaborate with transplant team members to resolve data integrity concerns.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies regarding transplant data and protected health information.
- Uphold confidentiality standards for patient, employee, and institutional data.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respectful communication with patients, families, team members, and external healthcare professionals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- Experience: 2 years of nursing experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, within 2 years of date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Transplant.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Proficiency in data entry, reporting, and query execution. Knowledge of healthcare data standards and transplant regulatory compliance preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
