Description: Job Summary:\n
The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What you will do in this role:

- Helps create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care. \n
- \n 
- Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care. \n
- \n 
- Supports the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations. \n
- \n 
- Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. \n
- \n 
- Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards. \n
- \n 
- Manages admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care. \n
- \n 
- Facilitates effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments. Ensures staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs. \n
- \n 
- Manages nursing practice and unit operations. Monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met. \n
- \n 
- Provides leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience. Instills accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader. \n
- \n 
- Leads in a way that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization. Implements evidence-based employee engagement practices. \n
- \n 
- Manages staff scheduling. Maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. \n
- \n 
- Manages operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment. Identifies cost reduction opportunities and implements actions to achieve savings. \n

What qualifications you will need:
\n
- \n 
- 1-2+ years of RECENT ACUTE CARE CVICU leadership experience REQUIRED (need recent leadership, ideally as a Manager or Supervisor, but will review Charge/ANM candidates). Strongly prefer candidates having 3-5 years of Staff level CVICU experience on top of their leadership experience. \n
- CANDIDATES MUST HAVE CVICU EXPERIENCE \n
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date \n
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date \n
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date \n
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date \n
- Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma \n
- Registered Nurse, or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) \n

Rate: USD $95,000 to $115,000
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse Florida state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
- One year of work experience as Registered Nurse
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
