Description
ACC is seeking two full time Faculty in our Nursing program. The Nursing Assistant Faculty and Nursing Faculty positions are full-time, 9-month faculty positions in the Nursing Department. ACC Faculty teach 15 credits each fall and spring semester. Faculty may have the option to teach courses during the summer semester for additional compensation. Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at any ACC campus and at a variety of times (days, evenings, and some weekends).

Requirements
Nursing Assistant Faculty:
- Current RN or LPN License (must have held license for at least 1 year),
AND
Has, or qualifies for, postsecondary CTE credential including 4000 paid non-teaching occupational hours within the last 5 years*,
AND
1 year experience caring for chronically ill and/or caring for elderly
AND
Has one of the following: 1) completed a course in teaching adults, 2) documented experience in teaching adults, or 3) 1 year experience managing nurse aides- NOTE: If the faculty or instructor also serves as NUA program coordinator (State Board of Nursing title), Applicant must have an RN license plus the rest of the above AND 1 year experience at a long-term care facility (this is in addition to the 1-year experience listed above).
- Tested experience may be used in lieu of the degree requirement on a case-by-case basis.
- Experience teaching and/or training various subjects within the discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment working with and supporting students from historically marginalized communities (people of color, LGBTQ+ community members, veterans, first generation graduates, people with disabilities, etc.).
- Demonstrate a growth mindset regarding professional development.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a form that is appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Nursing Faculty:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Current unencumbered Colorado RN license.
- At least two years full-time teaching experience.
- Two years recent clinical nursing experience.
- Apply for Career and Technical Educational Teaching Credential.
- Ability to use technology in classroom and as a teaching tool.
- Experience teaching and/or training various subjects within the discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment working with and supporting students from historically marginalized communities, which may include but are not limited to, people of color, LGBTQ+ community members, veterans, first generation graduates, and people with disabilities.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset regarding professional development.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a form that is appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience in facilitating equitable outcomes for customers, key stakeholders, and students using effective inclusive strategies.
- Demonstrate building successful professional relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external constituents and outside agencies.
- Participate and/or lead in professional organizations, committees and/or taskforces.
- Experience with remote and/or online teaching/training and experience developing courses for multiple delivery formats.
- Ability to develop well-defined assessment/evaluation objectives and high-performance standards aligned with expectations.
