Partnered with a hospital in southeastern Virginia that has an opportunity for a skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Schedule: 2 clinic days (8a-5p) and 1 in-house call shift (8a-8a) per week
• Patient Volume: 15+ per day
• Skills Needed: Vaginal deliveries, L&D and postpartum care, outpatient care
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner Virginia state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• One year of work experience as Nurse Practitioner
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
