Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Assistant will provide essential patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. We do not currently offer relocation assistance, but are open to applications from anywhere in the U.S. if applicants are open to moving themselves to Hood River, OR.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with medical documentation and record keeping
- Help patients with mobility and transfers
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Support patients in memory care and urgent care situations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
- Experience in patient care, caregiving, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Familiarity with nursing home, home care, or community care settings
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and use medical equipment like DME (Durable Medical Equipment)
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for patient well-being
